Busted

I caught him in the act. So dangerous Matt, you should not be texting or checking your email (or whatever) while you drive. Precious cargo was in the car (Me, Lulu and Tucker).

My little swimmer doggy

Last weekend we went to my parents to eat and hang out with family and Lulu got to do one of her favorite things. Swim. This is a what I think is going on in her brain. Just chillin' looking at the water.
"Hey Lulu, you want to go swimming."
Lulu, " Did someone say swimming."
Caroline getting excited about throwing the stick for Lulu to fetch.
"Oooh, I see it, I am going to get it and make my mom and aunt proud."

"I got it and I am bringing it back to show off." "I am such a graceful westie swimmer."
"Are you going to throw it again?"
"My mom only wants to hold me and take pictures with me after she has given me a bath. I will have to say that I look very white and fluffy after my bath and hair drying experience. I love my momma."

I Am So Special

Not special as in she is so sweet and kind, I am so special as in DUMB! Matt went out of town earlier in the week to go fishing in Louisiana, so while he was gone I decided that I was going to go shopping. Well I really love to buy really cute casual dresses. So I went on the hunt and found the cutest dress. I was brown with teal and blue designs all over it and a plaid ruffle at the bottom. I know it sounds really random, but I promise that it was really cute. I even bought shoes to go with it. Well I got home and tried it on for the second time (yes I tried it on the store) with the shoes. Maybe it was the shoes that made it look so short. It should have been a sign that when I raised my arms and booty almost hung out that something was not right. Well I decided to keep and let Matt give me his opinion (he is always honest, his response is usually like "you are not wearing that out of this house.") Well he got home and I tried it on and he said what I thought he would. "Emily that is too short." translated into you are not wearing that out of the house. Then I occurred to me that I had not bought a dress at all. I had really bought a SHIRT!!!!. I ran and got the receipt and there it was plain as day "1 KNIT TOP." So you all be glad to know that I took it back along with the shoes.

Happy Mothers Day.

I just wanted to mention how wonderful my mom is . I would not have picked another even if I was given the choice . She is one of my best friends and would do anything for me , Matt and my sisters. She has been there for all of us through the years , from t-ball, softball, cheerleaders, baseball, track, a few pagents, and most importantly BASKETBALL. My aunt always teases her and says that she is the one who is really playing basketball. She loves it!!!! Not only was she always there for us, she was also the most fun mom ever. All of my friends thought she was the coolest and said they wished there mom's were like mine. :) I hated frogs when I was younger and still do (I hate most animals from the reptile family, today there was a lizard in my house and I almost had a nervous breakdown just looking at it. MK was trying to coach me over the phone on how to get it out of my house, but I just could not do it).....Anyway. I hated frogs and my mom knew it, but one summer night she caught one in our yard and chased me until she me and rubbed all over my leggs. I was screaming and thought that was going to have tons of warts. Well no warts and I am still terrified of frogs. She thought it was hilarious and got a real kick out of it. I will not be doing that to my children mainly because I could never pick the thing up to chase them, maybe there grandmother can do it to them. Anyway she is the greatest!!!!
She even loves her son-in-law.

Pinning Ceremony

These are pictures from my pinning ceremony. It was the night before graduation. It was great. Most of my family was there. My dad and Kendell did not get to come because it was Kendell's senior athletic banquet that night too, and Caroline lives in a distant land. Anyway it was great. So glad that it is over and that my family was there.

Well I had a really busy weekend las t week. I graduated from Nursing School. It was really bitter sweet. Cracking Up!!

Ok, so I was just reading everyone's blogs and I started thinking about something really RANDOM. Ok are ya'll ready. Matt and I are planning on going to the Auburn vs. State game in September with Christian and Brooke Preus. Well there is a slight problem, since Auburn is great in football there seem to be no hotel rooms except at this place where you pay at the drive thru window. HUMMMM!!!! I really don't know about that. Those of you who know me well, know that I don't do well at dirty places, I have to admit, I am kinda snob about places like that. I told Matt that I just don't think I can stay at a place where i pay for my hotel room at the drive-thur window. (I am pretty sure that Brooke is not going to like that either). So Matt's cousin, George said that he had it all taken care of. We were thinking a hotel room where you actually check in at the front destk. NO. he is a junior at AU and has the cutest girlfriend Holly. Well she has offered her apt. which is 3 bedroom and 3 bath and she said that she and her roommates would bunk in one room and we would stay in the other two rooms. They are only going to charge us $200.o0 total. I don't know why that sounds funny to me, but it does. I guess we are going to take our coolers and go to the Frat parties too. I have keep saying that I wish I could go back to college. I guess Matt and I will for a weekend and shack up in some sort of random girls apartments. Something funny to tell our kids one day.

Birthday Celebration's

This past week we celebrated my birthday (April 20th). Matt's parents, brother, uncle and grandmother went to eat with us and then we came back to our house to eat cake and ice cream. I really love celebrating birthday's mainly because my favorite dessert is birthday cake and ice cream. Matt got my favorite cake (FoodMax in Starkville, they really have the best cakes ever) and we had a really good time.
Blowing out three candles, not really quite sure what the significance of three candles is, but that is all that Matt put on the cake.
If you are wondering why the cake is half gone is because Jake, Matt's cousin came to eat dinner with us the last night and through conversation told us that his birthday was on Monday. Well Matt and I busted out my half eaten cake my parents gave me and put candles on it and sang Happy Birthday to him. I think that we kinda embarrassed him, but it was funny and the cake was once again AWESOME.
Jake blowing out the candles.
opening gifts.

Lulu loved all the company and attention.

Almost Over

Well, it is almost over. I took my final exam in nursing school yesterday and I passed the class. WOO HOO!!! When I first started school I told some of my classmates that all I wanted was for my picture to be on the wall. I said it in a joking manner, but really was more serious than they thought. Well here it is, my composite picture and guess what, it is going to hang on the walls of the MUW nursing school. I can't believe that school is almost over, I can honestly say I don't know if I would go through this again. (Those of you who have been through this understand). The first day of school when I started, a girl who was a year ahead of me told us that if we did not have a higher power then we needed to find one. That was so true, because I don't know if I could have made it through it without God and all of my friends and families prayers. Thanks everyone for your prayers, he definitely heard them.

Kendell's Senior Prom

Kendell's senior prom was tonight. I went with my mom to take pictures and to watch the senior slide show. It seems like just yesterday my mom and dad brought her home from the hospital ( I am 9 years older than her). It really seems like just yesterday that I was going to my senior prom and it will have been 10 years next year. CRAZY. I hate getting older. She looked really pretty and she and her date have so much fun together. I am going to miss her so much next year when she goes to Delta State. Kendell we Love You.

Turkey Days

Look at Matt and the poor little turkey. Yes this is the bird that he gets up every morning at 5:00 am to go and hunt. Everyone says that we should get a hobby and do something together. I will have to say as long as every hobby that Matt has requires him to get up before the rooster crows will not be a hobby of Emily's. He told me the other day that I needed to find a hobby, and I told him I had one, it was called SLEEP. No I really am proud that he killed this thing because he actually took a morning off today. I will keep telling myself that it was because he wanted to engage himself in my hobby with me and sleep in, but I really think that it was because it was raining.

The Robert L. Crawford Center

This past weekend we went to Delta State for the Dedication of the Robert L. Crawford Center (my late grandfather). Delta State is where my parents went to college. My dad played baseball and my mom was a cheerleader (such a cute couple). My parents and grandmother helped build this center and my dad chose to name it after his father who he was very close to. It was really neat, my family got to cut the ribbon and we were the first to tour the center. The center consisted o f a museum that was dedicated to Boo Ferris who was my dad's coach at DSU. He played for State in college and then the Boston Red Sox's . I t is a great museum and is going to be used for fans to come and look at during DSU games. The center also holds the concession stand, t-shirt stand and bathrooms. It was really nice. I took lots of pictures of the museum. If you ever get to Cleveland I would definitely recommend going to visit , especially if you are a baseball fan.

This was a the wall outside of the center with the names of players and their accomplishments at DSU. The list that I took a picture of is a list of professional signees. My dad's name is in the center John Crawford-1978-Detroit, pretty cool huh. Kendell said his name was on the wall 6 times for various things. WOW. My name is on the KD Composite at MSU, do you think that compares.

This pic is totally upside down. It is in the museum (not upside down), It is a picture of Fenway park and the DSU field.
This baseball is from 1942 check out the game and score. This is when Boo was at MSU.
Me and Matt
Kendell, mom, and Me. We miss you Caroline.
This is the World Series ring that they gave Coach Boo Ferris in 2004 when the Red Sox's won. I usually don't like rings like this, but it really was beautiful, and HUGE.

This is my grandfather, he passed away in 1994. This hangs on the wall outside the center. He and my dad were very close.

NEW YORK BOUND!!!

Well we are New York Bound. So proud of the DAWGS for making it to the NIT Semi-Finals. The game was great. We had to sit in the upper level since we weren't here to get out tickets last week, but it really turned out not to be that bad. My family really loves Ben Hansbrough (well I do), at one point he made a really good play (stole the ball or something) and my dad stood up and yelled, "Ben your the man." Matt and I were cracking up. I guess you had to be there, but those of you who know my dad probably got a kick out of it. He just doesn't ever say things like that, it was really funny. Anyway that is a pic from the nosebleed and the jumbotron with the final score. GO DAWGS!!!
