Just Hanging Out

Charlie and Lulu just laying around.
Charlie was laying on his "Watch Me Grow Blanket" According to the blanket he is 24 1/2" long. It will be awhile, but I am dreading the day he grows off the blanket. My "B" loves me and I love her too. She thinks I am sooooo cute.

Got Milk????

Yeah that is disgusting. When got home from Sunday lunch, this is what greeted us. Apparently the bumpy ride stimulated some major spit up. He looks like he feels much better.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everybody. Charlie loved his first Easter. I told him the true meaning of Easter the other day while I was getting ready, but I saved the story of the Easter Bunny until this morning. He was pumped. I guess this year Matt and I will have to eat all that candy the Easter Bunny left. Charlie said he did not mind this year, but next year it is on.
Charlie's impression of Peter Cotton Tail.
Oh momma I love the Easter Bunny.
First family picture since Charlie was born. It was a beautiful day, but a bit chilly.

Visiting some KD's

asasa
Charlie went with me to the KD house the other day because we were having a reception for Bonnie Warren, KD national president. We were late of course because I had a difficult time getting myself ready as well as a 3 week old at the time, but we made it. Charlie stole the show. Needless to say he had lots of girlfriends.

Talking with Dad

Matt and Charlie look like they are having a really good conversations.

Look at that face, don't you just want to eat him up.
I am loving the hair and none of it has fallen out.

First Outing

These pictures were taken on Feb. 7. This was Charlie's first outing to the doctor. We had to be there at 8 am. It was such a job getting there on time, but we made it with the help of super dad Matt. Oh yeah and the outfit he is wearing in that picture no longer fits. He is 4 weeks old today and I can't believe how much he has grown. Everyone said he would, but I guess you don't realize it until they are actually here. Matt just said last night "he is going to be a year old before we know it."

These are some pictures from the hospital. He has already changed so much from these pics.

Day one. My mom had bought him this cute little blue gown and hat and I had a gown and robe to match it.
Look at those fat cheeks.
Matt kept saying the whole time "I am so tired." I love this pic. Nothing like a cat nap.

Charlie is here

I know these pictures are way over due and my baby ticker says that I am 41 -42 weeks pregnant, but I am not. I had Charlie on January 28 . I was induced at 7:30 that morning and did not have him until 11:30 that night. Talk about a long day. After it was all over Matt looked at me and said, "That wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be." I was like are you kidding. Men, I really don't have a response to his comment. I really wanted to knock him out. Charlie was 7 lbs. 13 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He is 3 weeks old today and growing like a weed. Matt and I are really loving our new addition. These are all pictures from the hospital, I am a little behind, but I did not realize how hard it was going to be managing my time when I came home. Hope you all enjoy. Matt's family right after I had Charlie.
Before I had Charlie. I was in a much better mood at this point. I was early.
There he is right after delivery. He was looking around, like who are all these strange people and where am I.
The morning after. He is already changing.
Matt and his new buddy right after delivery.
He is here and my face looks like a basketball. Could it be from the 4 bags of fluid I had or all those Sonic cheeseburgers.
What an overwhelming moment. I am not going to post what I was really thinking.

Me and My fam minus Caroline who will be here on Thursday.

Nursery in the Works

I know that I have been a terrible blogger lately, but I really feel like I have had nothing to blog. I really am not into posting pictures of myself lately (gosh I can't imagine why), but I will have to say I am becoming very obsessed with my nursery. I had been hounding Matt about painting it and he finally did. I had to work Christmas day and when I got home that night my drapes and bed skirt were up. I still don't have a mattress of bumper pad, but they are in the works, so I will for sure post when the nursery is complete. It is so dang cute. Thanks mom and mom-in-law. It looks awesome.
Lulu even has a matching bed so that she can sit in their with me and Charlie, and no I did not force her to lay on it, she just went and sat down.
This is an up close of my drape. It is a London shade, which I am obsessed with. Look at the detail.

Lulu are you excited about Charlie?? (Who's Charlie, I thought this was my room).
No mattress, but it will be here soon (like Tuesday).
This is a Toy basket that Teresa made. I saw a picture on the internet and just mentioned that I liked that. She is so great a picking up on stuff. I hope my future daughter-in-law doesn't expect this, because I sure don't know how to sew. I have already dumped all his stuffed animals in there. So cute.

Random Meal

I was looking at all the blogs today and realized that my baby ticker has just creeped under 100 days. Kinda scary. I keep telling myself that pregnancy has really not altered my taste buds at all, but I believe that I have come to realize that it has. The other day I went to City Bagel in Starkville and ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on spinach and cheddar bagel with salt and vinegar chips and a sweet tea. Yeah I do think that was the most random meal I have ever eaten. It was so good.

One step closer

This is Matt putting together the crib. I never took a picture of the finished product, but it is so cute. As you can see the little white fur-ball never misses a beat. She was in there the whole time he was putting it together. Those are also the fabrics that I am using for the nursery. It is coming together slowly but surely.

Welcome to the World Sarah!!!

Yes Charlie's girlfriend arrived in early September. Sarah was about 2 weeks when her future in-laws went to see her, she is now 6 weeks. Cute sweet daughter of Sam and Chris Potts. Matt would not touch her. He said if he was going to drop a baby he wanted it to be his. (Such a pleasant thought). Sorry I did not get a picture of her face. If you are wondering she looks like Sam.

The Verdict is Out

Well I am sure that you can probably guess from this picture that we are having a BOY. Matt wanted to see if his new baby boy was going to be able to fit into this thing that he bought to go duck hunting. As you can see Lulu fit just fine and she is a little larger than a newborn.
Me on the other hand, is trying to keep my little boy stylish. This is one of the many new outfits that have been purchased. Matt said he is going to look like a jail-bird when he wears it, well he will be a cute one dangit. Of course Matt has a comment about everything that is bought, but I know he will love it when there is actually a person wearing it. We are super excited about our little boy and I am in for a huge adjustment, since I came from a family of three girls. My parents will have waited almost 28 years for their boy. It is going to be fun. I will try to do better about blogging. Sorry Friends.

Frustrating and Amusing.

Hey everyone, I was going to post some new pictures the other day, but my computer would not read my camera memory card for so reason. So I got frustrated and quit trying. New pictures to come soon. We have had a lot going on it seems. A family reunion (it was super hot). My little sister moved to college for her freshman year. Working a ton. 3 year anniversary. We find out what we are having on Thursday, so be looking for that post. I have a funny story about Matt. We have been married for 3 years and I really did think that I knew everything about him since we also dated for 9 prior to marriage. Well the other night we were watching the Singing Bee, and he hates that show, but only because I know all the words to the songs. He is so jealous. Anyway, at the end of the show he told me that he used to play the flute. WHAT??? I just found that very amusing. Ben (his brother) also played the cello. I can just see Ben playing the cello and Matt playing the flute together. I am pretty sure that never happened, but I that would have been absolutely hysterical.

Somebody is going to be JEALOUS!!!!

Yep, that is right two furry animals are going to be really jealous come February. Matt and I are expecting. Baby Fowler is expected to be here February 6th. We are super excited and I am kinda scared at the same time. I mean I don't even like to take the dog out in the morning, but I am much more excited than scared. I will be 14 weeks on Wednesday. We found out at 6 weeks by accident. I went to the ER with a massive pain in my right side one Saturday morning. They thought that my appendix had ruptured and before they did the CT scan they did a pregnancy test and SURPRISE it was positive. We were initially really shocked but excited. Come to find out the massive pain was actually a cyst that had ruptured. Not to worry everything is ok. My doctor told me that that was actually fairly common. When we went to the doctor, he asked us if we thought that the picture looked like a butterbean or a peanut. We both said butterbean, and he said that it was going to be girl then. Apparently if it looks like a peanut it is going to be a boy. Matt automatically changed his mind to it looking like a peanut. Just an old wives tale, we will keep you all posted on the sex of the baby Fowler. Looking forward to giving you all updates on what is going on with us. Please keep us in our prayers.

Tucker told us he did not care as long as it came after duck season was over.
Lulu still doesn't understand when I tell her. She probably won't care either as long as I feed her treats and throw her ball and let her snuggle with me and hold her and kiss her and let her watch TV with me on the couch. Ok so maybe she is going to go through some withdrawals. We just won't talk about it around her.

Beach Trip

Matt and I went to the beach back in July with Christian and Brooke Preus. We had the best time and of course Matt and Christian acted like fifth graders the whole time. It was like Brooke and I took our two sons. Where we stayed there was a loft and Matt and I slept up there. Well one night they (Matt and Christian) decided to have a pillow fight over the loft. They definitely threw harder than a fifth grader. I had to put a stop to the pillow fight when a package of bagel s flew up and over the loft. We had a great time and it was so great to hang out with old friends. Dinner at Vin-tij. It was the best meal I have ever eaten down there.

Who knows what they are doing.

It has been too long

Sorry everyone. I can't believe that it has been over a month since I last blogged. Laura T. informed me today of my not so interesting blog in a really sweet way. Thanks Laura. I really don't know what to say about my life right now except that it is "boring busy." I really don't think that I could have put it any other way. I have been so busy but nothing I have done has been exciting. I have been working a ton. It is great but wears me out. I will have to say every day I get there I think "what in the world am I doing here, this is so out of my league," but I have learned a ton and everyone has been so helpful. I just got back from the beach. I was there a whole week and I will have to say that I have the worst sunglasses tan ever. One of the doctors at the hospital who doesn't know me at all walked up to me the other day and was said "Sweetie, next time you go to the beach you need to try and take your sunglasses off every once and a while." Everyone thought that was really funny. I am glad that I can take being teased. I will have to post pictures later. Anyway I am back and be looking for more post to come.

I PASSED

Ok I really try and refrain from posting all goofy pictures of me, but I just can't help it right now. It is 2:30 am and I just feel GOOFY. I got up to let my psycho dog out because she was barking her head off. So as I was going to bed I started to think about the fact that my boss asked me if I was going to check the computer at 12 to see if I passed my boards. For those of you who know me, I usually don't let anything take priority over sleep. Well the truth is I have been depressed for about two days, because I just knew that I failed that test. I thought what the heck I will just go ahead and get it over with and see if the computer was going to humor me and tell me you passed. (it doesn't say if you failed, you have to wait on a friendly letter if that happens). Anyway long story short, I PASSED, just call me Emily Fowler, RN. Thanks everybody for all of your prayers. This task could not have been accomplished without them. I really think the Lord let me pass because he was tired of hearing me whine and he was definitely tired of hearing my name. Anyway, I am about to go back to bed and if you have any health questions just call me because I am sure that I know the answer since I passed "the test." Everyone sleep tight. Say one more thank you prayer to the Lord. He deserves it.

Busted

I caught him in the act. So dangerous Matt, you should not be texting or checking your email (or whatever) while you drive. Precious cargo was in the car (Me, Lulu and Tucker).
