Happy 28th Matt

Yes Matt's 28th birthday was June 11th, I know I am really behind. Better late than never.

Swimming in the Pool

This summer Charlie did lots of swimming, but it was kinda more trouble than it was worth. It seemed like every time I got him all lathered up it was time to go back inside for a nap. B and Charlie. Look at that double chin
His hat was a little big.

Visit to Jacksonville

This was our visit to Jacksonville to see Jeff, mary Shelton, and Ridge. Charlie was only 4 1/2 months old and had just stared eating baby food. We had a great time and I am trying to get Mary Shelton and Jeff to agree on holding Ridge back so that Charlie and Ridge can be roomies just like their dads. Matt, Charlie, Jeff and Ridge

Catch - Up Time

Well a lot has gone on since I last blogged two months ago. Charlie turned 4 months then 5 months and he will turn 6 months on Monday. Time flys I can't believe that he is 6 months old. He has offically mastered the rolling over and is moving on to bigger and better things. I am going to try and catch you all up on what has been going on in the Fowler household. Charlie took his first trip to the river, he started baby food, and apparently I became the newest subscriber to Maxim magazine. I honestly have no idea how that happened and I felt sure that it was going to addressed to Matt, but it was addressed to me. Someone must have seen me walking around town and thought I looked so good that they felt like I needed to compare myself to the cover of Maxim (or the total opposite). FYI Maxim has been cancelled and is no longer a part of the Fowler reading material. Charlie at his 4 month Dr.'s appointment. He looks like a little bug to me right there. He could be thinking. "mom you really aren't going to let them stick me again are you."
First stab at baby food. This kid likes everything.
Dipping his feet in the river.
At the river. I would have taken my shirt off so you could see me in my bathing suit, but I don't want to you all to feel sorry for Shannon Elizabeth since I look so much better than her.
Me and Maxim. Yes I look like crap because I had just finished my first of two 4 hour work out session trying to keep my looks better than hers.

Rolling Over!!

This is the way we found Charlie the other morning. We did not actually witness the rolling over but we knew he could do it.
I caught him in the action. Here he goes
On the side.

Now on the stomach. He did it. He can roll over on his stomach all day long, but still hasnt figured out how to get back on his back. I am just excited that some hair might start growing in that bald spot now.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day everyone. We had a great one. We went to Eupora to have lunch with my mom's side of the family. That is close to where my grandmother grew up and she is the only one of five children that is still living. Great to meet all my mom's cousins (and there are a ton). We go every year and I always meet someone new every year. Charlie loves his mommy and all the attention that he got today.
Love this little boy.
Me and my littlest sister Kendell. We missed you Caroline.
This is my mom's side of the family. (L to R cousin Mitchell, Aunt Carol, mom, cousin Shea, me and Charlie, dad, Kendell and Granny Maxine in front.)(minus Caroline, Matt and Uncle Mitch). There is no way everyone would have all been able to get in a picture since there was about 100 of us.
My grandmother (Granny Maxine). Charlie is her 5th great grandchild. All four of Charlie's great grandmothers are still living.
Me and my mom, the greatest ever.
My dad. Everyone thinks Charlie looks like him. My daddy is eating that up. He refers to him as "my clone" or "big chunk"
Charlie loves his Aunt Kendell. He just laughs and laughs at her. I know he is going to grow up loving both of his aunts.

3 months old

Charlie turned 3 months on Monday and I went back to work on Sunday. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but I sure did miss my little dude. I can't believe it has been 3 months. It is amazing how much they change in such a short period of time. Sitting in my Bumbo like a big boy.
Me and mommy
Do I look like my Big Daddy?

Carrie and Keith

On Thursday Matt and I went to Atlanta to see Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban in concert and yes they were AWESOME. This was my Valentine's Day present and it was super fun. Ok I am going ot start off by saying that I have loved Carrie ever since American Idol and she was great live too. Now the next thing is I love, love, love my husband and I think that he is super good-looking and the most thoughtful person I know, but let me tell you Keith is HOT. (I already told Matt this, so it is ok for me to say this). Matt thinks I am crazy because I also talk about how HOT Jason Castro on American Idol is too. Something about a man and a guitar I guess. Not to mention Keith was an unbelieveable entertainer. I was really more excited about seeing Carrie, but Keith definetly exceeded my expectations. Yes I would go see him again any day. He was amazing and not to mention we had AWESOME seats. Matt had to join the Carrie Underwood fan club to get them. haha. Me and Matt
Carrie, singing "Paradise City" It was awesome. She rocked. Oh Keith
Keith and Carrie singing a duet by Stevie Nicks.
Keith you are my new favorite country singer. I told you we had awesome seats.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

Last Sunday was by 28th birthday. I can't believe that I am that close to 30. It makes me feel really old, but as Alan Jackson says 'it is just a stepping stone." It was great. Birthday cake is my favorite dessert and this year I got two (not on purpose), and of course I had to sample them both. I will have to say the highlight of the birthday celebration is when I opened my mom and Kendell's card. It was a music card from Hallmark that played MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This." Ben was of course hovering over me while I was opening everything and he immediately starts breaking it down. That kid never misses an opportunity to dance or sing, that is why I love him. He makes me appreciate the smallest moments in life. Enjoying two birthday cakes.
Ben bustin a move at Sunday lunch. This picture does not do him justice. We were all cracking up.

Lulu's Lover

Yes this is dog that sat on my sidewalk all day Wednesday. He guarded my front door like a hawk. I could not figure it out and then it crossed my mind that Lulu might be in heat, and yes she is. This little fella had found him a girlfriend and he was not going to let anyone else near her. Sorry little doggy this woman is off limits.
She watched him out the window almost all day and barked and barked and barked. Talk about super annoying.
Just chillin watching the little lover run around outside. This is her spot and it drives Matt crazy, but I have decided that life is to short to worry about trying keep that dog off the chair. Matt bought some spray that was supposed to keep her off of it, yeah all she did was lick it like it was candy.

Derby Days

Well Charlie attended his first EX Derby Day. The girls were loving this EX legacy. No really since I am a KD advisor, I went to watch their Lip Sync and Dance. I must say it was pretty impressive. The theme was decades and they were the 80's. Hard to believe that the earliest that any of these girls were born was probably around 1985-1986. It has changed a lot since I was there, makes me miss college a lot. Oh yeah they love me. Aren't they all so cute.
Charlie with his cool 80's shades on. Sad thing is Kendell really did wear some sunglasses like that last summer and thought she looked totally normal.

Hollywood Here I Come!!!

This past Sunday the first graders were learning about Abraham, Sarah and Isaac. Guess who got the lead role as baby Isaac? CHARLIE FOWLER. Of course I am a tiny bit biased, but I must say he did a magnificant job. Matt and I skipped a little bit of our Sunday school to go and watch. It was really cute, Abraham and Sarah came in first and told the children about God's promise that she was going to have a child. The lady playing Sarah was hilarious, she just laughed and giggled at the thought of having a child at such an old age. Our church does so many great things, but this small skit made me so excited to be a member at Fairview. Not only are Matt and I growing spiritually, but after seeing this I know that Charlie (and hopefully others) will be given so many opportunities to grow and learn about God. Thank you Lord for leading us to Fairview. Abraham and Sarah teeling the kids what God had told them about having a child.
Oh there is baby Isaac making his grand entrance.
Loving it and stealing the show. The kids loved him. Next week the story goes on, too bad Charlie's role as Isaac is over, he is not quite old enough yet.

Growing Like a Weed!!!!

Charlie turned 2 months old last Friday (3/28/08). Matt was holding him the other night and made the comment that he wasn't even a baby anymore. Yes I know he is still a baby, but it is amazing how much he has changed in 2 months. I took him to get his first shots yesterday and he weighed 13 lbs. 2 oz. and is now 24 inches long (according to them). Yes he is offically a chunk. This was taken last Friday, offically 2 monts old.
3rd trip to the Doctor (9 weeks)
2nd trip the doctor (5 weeks)
1st trip to doctor (9 days old). I told you he was changing.
